It's only June and unfortunately my traveling is probably over for 2009. The company I work for - although doing better than all their competitors - is hurting like everyone else, and so each and every employee has had to take a 9% pay decrease. They've given us each 10 additional paid vacation days however to try to make up for it - ironic, isn't it? Last year I was troubled by having enough vacations days to go where I wanted to go...this year I have an abundance of vacation days but don't feel comfortable spending the money to go anywhere.

It's been s mellow, dreamy Saturday today. Day dreams of places like Turkey and Morocco...

My friend Adrienne keeps saying that all this is going to work out - that it'll all be ok. So I've been leaning on her positivity because I don't feel it much myself. At this point I just hope to get thru the year while still employed.

I hope the economy gets better - and fast.
